On July 8, the 16th National Games Zhanjiang Sports delegation was established and a mobilization conference for the preparation of the preparations. Deputy Mayor Wu Guoxiong gave a mobilization speech.

The 16th Games of Guangdong Province will open in Qingyuan City in November this year, and the first batch of projects will be held in mid -June. With the approval of the municipal government, the 16th National Games Zhanjiang Sports delegation was established. The city will participate in the competition of 28 major items in the competitive sports group and 8 major sports groups. There are about 1,300 competition sports groups and 230 people in the mass sports group participating in the competition. Among them, the participating projects of the Athletic Sports Group are deployed in 25 units including municipal physical schools, and the projects of the mass sports groups are entrusted to the associations to be responsible for the team.

Based on the actual preparation of the war, our city has established the goal of the provincial meeting: the competition sports group strives to enter the top eight, and the mass sports group has won the "Excellent Organization Award". At present, the city has won 13.75 gold medals, ranking fifth in the province; the award score is 488.25 points, and the seventh place in the province.

The meeting pointed out that the Guangdong Provincial Games every four years is the sports event with the highest level, the largest scale, the most projects, and the most influential influence. Participating in the 16th Provincial Games is of great significance to enhance the city's competitive sports level, display the spiritual style of the people, and enhance the city's urban influence. The establishment of the Zhanjiang Sports delegation marks that the city's preparations for the preparation of the war have entered the final sprint stage.
