The competition is planned to be held in Chongming, Shanghai in October 2026. It is expected to attract about 400 athletes from more than 40 countries and regions to participate.

It is reported that the Shanghai Bicycle Pavilion is expected to be basically completed in Chongming in December 2022. The museum will be built in accordance with the international top competition standards and requirements, which will meet the requirements of the top competitions such as Olympic Games and become the "National Southern Training Base of the National Ball Team".
