Hainan Venus: The sign of the elephant is almost ubiquitous in the children's hospital, and the design concept of the hospital is also "a children's hospital with an elephant." Henan has thousands of connections with the "elephant", and the overall area map is like the shape of the "elephant"; "Yu" is referred to as a person to hold an elephant in a hand; it is said that there are still many elephants in the Yin Dynasty in the Yin Dynasty. The personality of the "elephant" is gentle and powerful, which is very consistent with the style of our film and the content that I hope to convey through this film.

Elephant News: There are still several episodes to be broadcast. Please introduce the respective themes of the entire documentary, how to determine the theme, what do you want to express through these themes?

Hainan Venus: There are six episodes of the documentary "Where Elephant Out of the Elephant". In the first episode, we are concerned about the children of the two hematological tumor ward. I hope to give adults more thinking through the attitude of the child to the disease; Pay attention to the importance of parenting to children and the family reasons behind the child's illness; the third episode through the story of a autistic child, telling the common growth of parents and children in the process of confrontation; The story of the grandmother who takes care of the child in the hospital, analyzes the phenomenon of the elderly with the baby, and the problems of parents in family education; the fifth episode is to interpret what the child's birth is to a family through the story of the two premature infant families. Hainan Venus: The identity of female directors will make them more affinity and easier to be recognized when facing children and parents. In addition, for a documentary director, the capture of details is crucial, and when women face the subject matter such as children's medical care, it is easier to resonate with children. detail. At the same time, the film will be more temperature.

Elephant News: Children are the easiest to touch people's hearts, especially children with sickness. Do you have an emotional collapse when shooting, and can't bear to see the child's suffering? How to overcome this psychology?

Hai Venus: There will be many times, especially for those who have been parents, and they are not allowed to suffer. But for documentary directors, the most important thing is objective and calm. This will be a bit similar to a doctor. We will always remind ourselves not to bring our subjective emotions to work. Although this process is difficult, it will be difficult to work. We will continue to adjust until we gradually adapt.

Elephant News: What are the rewards and growth of the directors?

Haijin Star: I think the most important point is that it will not require too much for children. The child's health and happiness are the most important. In addition, the most need for children is not the material, but the high -quality companionship of parents.

Elephant News: I believe that the crew has adopted a lot of materials, and some are not used in the film. What are the reasons for abandoning and retention?

Hainan Venus: We took nearly 600 hours of materials in total, and only two and a half hours were finally used in the film. In terms of choosing stories, we hope that we choose not only the story of cure, nor the sell The tragic story is not to earn the tears of the audience. Instead, behind these stories, you can see the family views and parenting views of many Chinese people, which can be left to the audience more thinking. This is also the most important criterion for us to choose a story.

Elephant News: The documentary "Place of Elephant Elephant" presents children's medical themes with small incisions. Each episode of one angle, focusing on various issues, what are the most hoped to bring the audience as a director? What philosophy does it pass?

Hainan Venus: For the positioning of this film, we do not want it to be just a cure, but use children's medical treatment as a window to reflect the world's contemporary childcare concept and the world behind children's medical treatment. Children's hospitals are the epitome of the status quo of Chinese families and parenting. Children's disease will involve the entire family. Behind the child's illness, it may be a sick family. It may be a sense of conceptual consciousness that needs to be adjusted. In the process of fighting against the disease, children, parents, and pediatricians need to face their own problems and finally achieve different degrees of growth. How can we go to a better future with our children? This is the answer we want to find. Just like our propaganda words, feel the power of love and growth in the children's hospital.

Hainan Venus: I think the most difficult thing is to get the trust of the shooting object. When children are sick, parents will be very anxious. At this time, no one is willing to be photographed. How to let parents and children accept us. It's difficult. At the same time, every day is experiencing life and death in the process of shooting. We need to constantly adjust ourselves. This is also a huge test for each of us.

Hai Venus: When the audience said to see the power in our film, warn themselves to cherish happiness, and reflect on whether they have to accompany their children with their intentions, it should be the most pleased.

Elephant News: In these 6 episodes, which episode or which character makes you feel the most?

Hai Jinxing: It should be Ziyun. Ziyun has been very melancholy before, and there is no light in his eyes, but at a moment, when Dad accompanied Ziyun to eat in the restaurant, we saw Ziyun laugh for the first time. Especially sunlight, at that moment I might never forget.

Haijin Star: Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of the shooting cycle, some stories are not deep enough to play and dig, and it seems thinner.
