In order to test the impact of transportation reactions in humans, the research team monitored 21 babies in Japan and Italy. When the mothers were sitting and hugging their babies or put them on the baby bed, the crying babies did not calm down. But when the mother walked around with the baby, they stopped crying, nearly half of them asleep in 5 minutes.

Although there are similar sedative effects on the shaking strokes or cribs, the degree is small. This may be because the swing has a motion rhythm similar to walking.

The heart monitor attached to the baby shows that, like the babies of other mammals, their heart rate will slow down when they are carried by the mother. And the preliminary experiments that the father carried a baby showed that the former can also make the latter quieter.

Researchers suggested that after walking around to coax a sleeping baby, you can hold another 5 to 8 minutes, and then put him on the crib, because the sleeping baby in the study will often wake up if he is transferred to other places in advance.

The University of Queensland, Australia and Pamela Douglas at the University of Griffis said that walking around the baby is just a "tool" for sleeping. This study does not include breastfeeding or bottle feeding method that effectively promotes falling asleep.
