Promoting Chinese railway construction in Laos

The Chinese -Old Railway is an iconic project of high -quality co -construction of the “Belt and Road”, and it is also an important project of the strategic docking with Lao ’s“ Local Locked Kingdoms ”. It is directly connected with the China Railway Network. It uses Chinese technical standards and uses Chinese equipment throughout the board. It was officially opened to traffic on December 3, 2021. The construction and opening up of the Chinese -Old Railway have created more convenient conditions for the economic and trade interaction and humanistic exchanges between China and the elderly. In Laos, it has become a "catalyst" to enhance people's learning and use Chinese enthusiasm.

Laos's Chinese education originated in the late 1920s. After a century of development, Chinese schools have become an important part of the Lao national education system. Over the years, the number of Chinese schools in Laos has continued to increase, the scale has continued to expand, and its influence has continued to increase. Admissions objects are no longer limited to Chinese children. At present, there are 10 Chinese schools in Laos. Most of these schools adopt the model of Chinese and Laos language teaching, and have achieved good teaching results. In a sense, Chinese schools have become a model of Education in Laos primary and secondary schools. For example, Laos's largest Chinese schools in Laos, the public school, has a good social reputation, has become one of the popular choices for local parents to choose schools for children. At present, more than 3,000 students in schools have reached more than 3,000.

In Laos, Chinese has become a common composition of social language landscapes. Language landscapes mainly refer to various language signs in specific areas, such as shop signs, public transport and tourist attractions. As an important medium to spread Chinese, projects such as China -Lauding Railway not only broaden the application fields of Chinese in Laos, but also improved the frequency of Chinese use. For example, in the new railway stations in Laos and various signs inside the train, Chinese occupies an important position; the frequency of using Chinese in public places such as Vientiane, banks and tourist attractions in the capital of Laos has also increased significantly. With the support of network technology, the application scenario of Chinese has gradually expanded from real space to network space, forming a unique and atypical language landscape. On the various social media and video sharing platforms often used by netizens in Laos, many users have introduced Chinese songs, film and television information, and Chinese learning knowledge alone through the form of a group, and have obtained a considerable number of "fans".

Today, Chinese has become an important part of Laos's multi -language environment, and its ability to carry and disseminate information is still increasing. Learning Chinese has become an important way for Lao to enhance employment competitiveness. In the employment market, Lao bilinguals who have mastered Chinese have more competitive advantages than monolgas, and can get more employment, entrepreneurial opportunities and higher income. Therefore, people's demand for Chinese learning has grown sharply. Taking the Chinese University of Lao National University as an example, in 2021, the major intends to recruit 60 students, but there are as many as 2,953 students in the actual examination. Chinese has become one of the most popular majors in the school. In addition, due to the continuous expansion of the student group, the schools that have currently opened Chinese courses in Laos have different degrees of Chinese teachers. In order to solve this problem, and considering that many schools have the intention to open Chinese courses, in July 2021, with the approval of the Laos Department of Education and Sports, the Confucius Institute of the National University of Laos opened the country's first Chinese teacher undergraduate major. Opening the prelude to cultivating Laos's local Chinese teachers.

Affected by various factors, "Chinese+occupation" has become an important model for Laos to cultivate composite talents. "Chinese+Professional" refers to not only learning Chinese, but also in terms of talent training. The construction and opening up of the Chinese -Laos Railway have further promoted the exchanges and cooperation between China and Lao Lao and the elderly in the fields of logistics, tourism, power, mining, agriculture and other fields. Cultivating linguists is an important starting point for exchanges and cooperation. With the increase in local investment in Chinese enterprises, in the past, talent training models that simply cultivated language skills have been unable to meet actual needs. Some schools in Laos have begun to cultivate "Chinese in Chinese +Professional "composite talent. For example, the National University of Laos has specially conducted Chinese reinforcement training for the Laos staff of the Chinese and Old Railway. The purpose is to cultivate talents who master both Chinese and railway professional skills.

The Chinese language industry is a emerging industry in Laos. The language industry refers to an industry that produces language products or provides language services. The construction and opening up of the Chinese -Laos Railway have led to the growth of Laos' domestic demand for Chinese -related needs, which has also increased the number of local Chinese training institutions, translation companies, and their business volume. These companies not only provide more jobs, but also promote local economic development to a certain extent, so they are more valued in the local area. For example, in February 2021, when the Mulan Education Center, which mainly operates Chinese training, Chinese tourism, study abroad, and other businesses, was established when Vientiane was established, some senior officials in Laos attended the relevant activities to a certain extent. The affirmation of learning value also reflects the support and emphasis on the official Chinese education power of Laos.

All in all, the Chinese -Laos Railway not only changed the traffic environment along the route, but also influenced the industrial structure of the area along the route in the subtle way, but also further promoted the use and dissemination of Chinese in Laos. the road.
