According to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense on the same day, the new round of additional security assistance to Ukraine is composed of two parts.Among them, the $ 50 million weapon and equipment were directly approved by President Biden and were retrieved from the Ministry of Defense inventory, including the eight sets of rockets adapted to the 8 sets of "high -mobility multi -tube rocket systems" provided to Ukraine.This is the 14th time that Biden has used foreign aid funds that can be directly approved by him since August 2021 with weapons.
