According to BBC reports on June 29, Japan has encountered the worst temperature in nearly 150 years. As of June 29, Tokyo has fifth consecutive weather temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius. This is the worst high temperature weather in June since the record in 1875.

On June 25, the temperature in Isezaki in northwestern Tokyo reached a record of 40.2 degrees Celsius. This is the highest temperature since Japan's record in June.

On June 27, the Japanese government urged people in Tokyo and its surrounding areas to reduce electricity and demanded that Tokyo residents started to turn off unnecessary lights from 3 pm, and the duration was 3 hours.

On June 29, the Japanese emergency service department said at least 76 people were sent to the hospital. The government has to suggest that people use air conditioners moderately to reduce the risk of heat stroke.
