Xinhua News Agency, Ankara, June 22 (Reporter Xiong Sihao) Turkish President Erdogan met with the visiting Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed Salman on the 22nd. The leaders of the two countries stated that they are determined to start a new era of comprehensive cooperation between the two sides.
A joint statement issued after the meeting between the two countries said that the two countries emphasized the increase in the number of flights between the two countries, relaxing trade restrictions, and seeking more investment opportunities. The two parties will deepen consultations and cooperation on regional issues to strengthen regional peace and stability. Saudi Arabia thanked Turkey for supporting Riyadh's application for the 2030 World Expo.
This is the first time Muhammad has visited Turkey in the past 4 years. Analysts believe that Saudi Crown Prince's visit to Turkey indicates that the relationship between the two countries is comprehensive and normal.
Saudi Arabia and Turkey have been affected by Saudi journalist Kashuji in 2018. In November 2020, Erdogan and Saudi King Salman called on the phone, and the relationship between Tusha began to pick up. At the beginning of April this year, the Turkish court decided to transfer Kashuji to the Saudi judicial department for processing.
