Putin signed an order to grant Snowden Russia citizenship

Russian President Putin signed an order on the 26th to give former US defense contractor Edward Snowden Russia. The relevant president order has been announced on the Russian legal information network that day.

The relevant documents released show that the president ordered a number of people to give a number of people Russian nationality, including "Edward Joseph Snowden, born on June 21, 1983, (birthplace) the United States."

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov told the media on the same day that Putin did not plan to meet Snowden, who was awarded Russian nationality.

In June 2013, Snowden exposed the secret intelligence monitoring project of the National Security Agency through the media, including the monitoring project mainly targeted at overseas goals and the "prism program", which caused a stir in the international community.
