As of now, the United States has imposed economic sanctions on nearly 40 countries in the world, and nearly half of the world's population has been affected, causing serious humanitarian disasters. The previous government of the United States has implemented more than 3,900 sanctions, which is equivalent to the average "sanctions stick" of three times a day. US media pointed out that sanctions have become the first choice for foreign policies.

Over the past few decades, the United States has imposed unilateral sanctions on Cuba, Belarus, Syria, Zimbabwe and other countries, and increased "pressure on North Korea, Iran, Venezuela and other countries. The U.S. side ignores the purpose and principles of the United Nations Charter and the principles of international law.
