According to the National Hurricane Center, the tropical storm "Ian" is expected to attack Florida, where the Kennedy Space Center is located next week. NASA stated that due to concerns about tropical storms, it was decided to give up the launch attempts to be planned on the 27th.
The cancellation of launch on September 27 means the fourth delay of the US Lunar Rocket Launch Plan. On August 29, the NASA tried to launch "Artemise 1" for the first time, but was canceled due to engine failure. On September 3, the launch was postponed again due to the problem of liquid hydrogen leakage. After experiencing multiple fuel leaks, on September 21, NASA finally successfully completed the rocket fuel test. The third launch should be carried out on September 23, but delayed due to various preparation issues.
According to the Associated Press, NASA is considering whether to drag the Rockets back to the hangar. If you do not return to the hangar, the Aerospace may be launched again on October 2, but if you return to the hangar, the first test flight will be postponed to November.
"Artemis 1" is the most powerful rocket built by NASA. The United States claims that if its flight task is smooth, astronauts will perform their mission in 2024 and achieve the moon landing on the moon in 2025.
