With this connectivity, despite the global economic downturn, the New Silk Road is still developing. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce of China, from 2013 to 2021, China and countries along the “Belt and Road” cumulative goods trade in the country ’s cumulative goods trade was nearly $ 11 trillion, and the two -way investment exceeded 230 billion U.S. dollars.

In Central Asia, with the opening of the China -Jiwu Highway and Zhongta Highway, highway transportation has been greatly improved. It is expected that Central Asian countries will release greater transit potential with the upcoming China -Jiwu Railway project.
