The statement also stated that citizens should pay attention to interfere with the protected wildlife as illegal acts, including some organs holding dead whales, and keep a distance from these whales. Surfers and swimmers should also avoid approaching the area because the body of the whale may attract sharks.

As early as September 2020, 470 long -fin collar whales were found to be stranded on the sandbar of Macquarie Port, Tasmania. This is the largest collective stranded incident since Australia recorded. After a week of rescue efforts, only 111 whales were rescued, and the authorities had to deal with the body of more than 350 whales.
