According to today's Russian TV website report on the 16th, Ukraine President Zelezki told Reuters reporters that only in the case of Moscow's release of Ukrainian prisoners, Russia will allow Russia to resume out exports through Ukraine to alleviate the shortage of global fertilizer.
"I oppose the Russian Federation to supply ammonia through our territory. I can do this only when I can change our prisoners of war. This is the condition I mentioned to the United Nations."
It is reported that the Kremlin quickly rejected the proposal. According to Tas Society, the response of Russian President President Pesov is: "Is human and ammonia the same thing?"
It is reported that the United Nations suggested that Russian fertilizer producer Ural Chemical Corporation sent ammonia to the Ukraine border through a pipeline, and Tramo, a commodity dealer headquartered in the United States, can buy ammonia there. This pipeline can transport up to 2.5 million tons of ammonia from the Eye Port of the Black Sea every year to the Black Sea. However, since February this year, the port has been closed.
It is reported that ammonia is an important component of nitrate fertilizers, and the shortage of ammonia supply may exacerbate the global grain crisis. Russia -Ukraine conflicts have worsened the grain crisis because a large number of wheat around the world is produced in Ukraine and Russia.
Russia's fertilizer industry said that in recent months, due to the historical high of energy prices, up to 70%of European ammonia factories have reduced production or discontinued production.
Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey signed an agreement with the United Nations mediation in July to restore the exports of grain exports of the ports of the Black Sea of Ukraine to alleviate the shortage of supply. However, Russia's representative of the United Nations Vasily Nirjia has recently accused Western sanctions from hindering the transportation of grains and chemical fertilizers.
