The Eiffel Tower is usually turned on at 1 am, but the lights will be turned off at 23:45 from September 23.According to Reuters, early lighting will allow the Eiffel Tower to save 4%of electricity consumption.Other landmarks managed by the Paris Government, such as St. Jacques and the Town Hall, will turn off the lights to 22 o'clock.

"This is a symbolic but important step," Idalgo said.For safety reasons, the lamps on the Paris Street and the Senna Bridge will not go out at night.In order to cooperate with the French energy conservation plan, Edalgo will urge the French government to adjust the lighting of national cultural relic buildings such as Paris and Arc de Triomphe.
