Sweden's inflation in August hit a new high of 30 years

Data show that Sweden ’s electricity, fuel, and food prices rose by 51.4%, 28.2%, and 14%year -on -year, respectively, which has the greatest impact on inflation.As of June this year, the Swedish inflation rate refreshed the highest record since December 1991, reaching 8.5%in June.Although the inflation rate of the country fell slightly due to the slight recovery of power and fuel prices in July, its food prices rose for 9 consecutive months.
Alexander Norlen, economic commentator of Sweden TV, said that Sweden's inflation data exceeded market expectations in August, and people would feel increasing pressure when consumption and loans.
In order to suppress inflation, the Central Bank of Sweden announced on June 30 that starting from July 6, the benchmark interest rate raised the benchmark interest rate from 0.25%to 0.75%.The Swedish central bank said that affected by uncertain factors in the fields of global supply chains, geopolitics, and commodities, energy and food prices continue to rise and will further push the level of inflation.
