Kim Jong -un made a governance speech

On the 10th, the North Korean Society published a speech at the seventh meeting of North Korea ’s 14th North Korean Supreme People's Conference held in Pyongyang on the 8th. Kim Jong -un elaborated in the governance speech on the advancement of the national economic development plan and the prevention and control of the epidemic.

Kim Jong -un said that the North Korean government should promote the completion of the five -year national economic development plan proposed by the Eighth Congress of the North Korean Workers' Party. He emphasized that "the priority is to solve the problem of eating and consumer goods." To this end, we must continue to focus on the development of agricultural and light industry. However, he predicts that agricultural production conditions and the environment will become more unfavorable in the future, and countermeasures must be taken.

Kim Jong -un also focused on the prevention and control of the epidemic. He pointed out that although North Korea overcomes "the first threatening public health crisis faced by the People's Republic of China since the founding of the People's Republic of China", the health care department urgently needs to improve the level and ability of epidemic prevention. In the case where domestic drugs cannot meet all needs, imports of drugs must meet the treatment and health needs.

Kim Jong -un pointed out that it is necessary to promote the construction of national epidemic prevention capacity. In response to the situation of the epidemic, vaccination should be implemented, and people across the country should be promoted to wear masks.
