The Chinese government assisted Bangladesh and Chinese companies, which was officially opened to traffic on the 4th. Bangladesh's Prime Minister Hasa, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Li Jiming, and Bangladesh Minister of Transportation Cadel attended the opening ceremony.

The Eighth Bridge of Mengzhong Friendship is located about 5 kilometers east east of Barrier, Barisar, Barzal, Barry, and across the Kucha River. It connects the Kurina area and the Barisar area. The total length of the project is 2.96 kilometers. The opening of the Eighth Bridge of Mengzhong Friendship brings great convenience to local residents, which will promote the development of agriculture, industrial, aquatic fishery and tourism in southern Bangladesh.
