According to the Russian satellite news agency, the US Ambassador to Russia John Shalin has ended his term on September 4 local time and leaves Moscow.

According to the news released by the US State Department, Shalvin returned to China as a normal rotation according to the plan, and the candidates who took over as his candidates will be announced recently. A US State Department spokesman said that the Ambassador of Sarawon has worked in Moscow for nearly 3 years and is the term of office of the US ambassador to Russia.

The US State Department spokesman emphasized that Washington believes that in the context of Ukraine's conflict, it is extremely important for Russia to maintain diplomatic connection with Russia.

Saravin is 62 years old and was appointed as the US ambassador to Russia in December 2019. He has worked under five US presidents, including senior positions in the US Secretary of State, as well as senior positions from the US Department of Justice, the Department of National Defense and the Ministry of Commerce.

CNN reports that after Salvin stepped down, he will end his 40 -year civil servant career and officially retire.

Before the new ambassador, Elizabeth Rude, deputy director of the Moscow Embassy in Russia, will serve as an interim office in the US Embassy in Moscow. Last month, Rudang was nominated as the US Ambassador to Turkmenistan and was waiting for the Senate's confirmation of the position.

It is reported that the US ambassadors abroad are appointed by the president and need to be approved by Congress.
