The Rockets were originally scheduled to launch on the same day and perform the "Artemise No. 1" unmanned mission to fly around the moon.

The launch was originally scheduled to be launched at 14:17 on the 3rd of the United States (2:17 on the 4th Beijing time). The "Space Launch System" was equipped with the "Orion" spacecraft from Florida Kennedy Aerospace Center. About 3 hours before the launch, the US Astronautic Agency said in social media that the problem of leakage occurred when transporting fuel to the Rockets. The task team tried to solve this problem but did not succeed, so it decided to postpone the launch.

On August 29, the US Aerospace Administration decided to delay the "space launch system" originally scheduled to launch on the same day because of the rocket engine failure.

"Artemis" is a new moon landing plan announced in 2019. It was originally planned to send US astronauts to the moon again by 2024. Due to insufficient budgets, the US Aerospace Administration announced last November that US astronauts returned to the moon may be postponed one year than the original plan, and the earliest month in 2025.
