UN human rights experts urge Britain to stop transferring asylum to Rwanda
On the 17th local time, UN human rights experts urged Britain to stop the plan to transfer shelters to Rwanda, saying that this approach "violated international law and causing damage to this group of people who needed to be protected."
The United Nations trafficking population, especially women and children, Special Reporter, Sip Ban Murari said: "The UK's practice of seeking shelter forcibly to Rwanda may violate the principle of non -driven international law." Murari pointed out that those who seeks international protection, escape conflicts and persecution have the right to seek and enjoy asylum -this is the basic principle of international human rights and refugee law. The transfer of asylum to the third country will not help or crack down on population trafficking. In fact, this approach may push the desperate person to a more dangerous situation, and may increase the risk of exploitation.
Murari urged countries to expand their security, orderly, and normal immigrants without discrimination to crack down on population trafficking. Murari said that re -resetting plans, family agglomeration measures, and humanitarian visas are a more effective way to prevent trafficking and escape from persecution.
