Overture is still in the early stages of development. Boom Supersonic recently launched the "refined" version of the aircraft, which is said to have completed some wind tunnel tests. However, it has not yet conducted a test flight, and the first batch is expected to be offline until 2025.

However, this did not stop Boom Supersonic, the United States and United Airlines continued to bet, and the latter announced last year that it plans to buy up to 15 supersonic jet aircraft.

Boom Supersonic said that Overture may be put into use in 2029, they can be 20%faster than the current commercial passenger aircraft, "fly from Miami to London within 5 hours, and fly from Los Angeles to Honolulu in 3 hours." Boom Supersonic claims.

According to reports, after economic failure, airlines and aircraft manufacturers usually focus on improving efficiency rather than speed.
