The British "Guardian" reported on August 15 that the Russian side demonstrated the proposed Russian rail service station model, "it shows that Moscow is serious about exiting the International Space Station and acting alone."

The Russian National Aerospace Group issued a statement saying that the New Space Station will launch in two stages, launch 4 cabins first, and then launch the other two cabins and one service platform. At present, part of the design has been completed. After the completion of the new space station, 4 astronauts can be accommodated. Russian astronauts overlook the Earth from the New Space Station and will have a wider field of vision at the International Space Station. The New Space Station has no plan to arrange for the permanent residence, and prepares two batches of astronauts to work for a period of time.

The Russian National Aerospace Group did not disclose the launch time of the New Space Station. According to official Russian media reports, the first stage of launch is expected to be carried out between 2025 and 2026, at the latest in 2030; the second stage launch is expected to be completed between 2030 and 2035.

Yuri Borisov, president of the Russian National Aerospace Group, said in July that Russia will withdraw from the International Space Station project after 2024 and will start the Russian rail service station.
