Overseas guests and merchants in more than 70 countries and regions, as well as merchants from more than 20 provinces in China, will participate in the meeting through online and offline methods to promote the construction of the "Belt and Road" and share new opportunities for international cooperation.

Li Fei, a member of the Party Group and Minister of Commerce who attended the opening ceremony, introduced that the "Belt and Road" initiative has proposed that in the past nine years, the trade between China and the countries along the "Belt and Road" go to a new level. Cooperation achieves new breakthroughs. From 2013 to 2021, China and countries along the route were nearly $ 11 trillion, two -way investment of more than 230 billion U.S. dollars, and contracting projects have completed a turnover of nearly 730 billion US dollars. As of the end of 2021, China has built 79 overseas economic and trade cooperation zones in 24 countries along the route, with a cumulative investment of 43 billion US dollars to create 346,000 jobs for the local area. In January of this year, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) took effect, and the network of free trade zones that radiate the “Belt and Road” was accelerated.

This year's Silk Expo has set up a special exhibition area of ​​the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and will hold 2022 China (Shaanxi) -RCEP regional economic and trade cooperation round table to further broaden the space between members of RCEP. During the Silk Expo, the participants will also conduct in -depth negotiations and exchanges around intelligent manufacturing, intellectual property protection, and commercial legal cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Investment and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Zamshid Hozayev said in a speech in the opening ceremony that the Silk Expo this year is between countries along the Silk Road, especially Uzbekistan and China The trade and economic relations between the two countries have great potential in cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economic and trade investment, finance, industry, and humanities.

The Silk Expo has been successfully held for five sessions. 11 countries including Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia have successively served as the main guests. There are more than 200 overseas politicians, dignitaries and more than 9,000 overseas merchants from more than 190 countries and regions around the world participating in the conference. The number of viewers exceeds 600,000.
