US President Biden signed documents that approved Sweden and Finland to join NATO on Tuesday, which brought Nordic one more closer to NATO.

When it comes to joining NATO, Biden claimed that the world's most powerful military alliance "will be stronger than ever."

Before signing the Alliance Agreement, Biden talked with Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andatson and Finnish President Shaoli Ninito. Earlier this year, both visited the White House.

Finland and Sweden began a formal procedure to apply to NATO in May. After Biden signed a document, among the 30 member states in NATO, the United States became the 23rd member of Sweden and Finland to join NATO. According to the regulations, NATO must be able to absorb new members on the premise of "unanimous consent" in 30 member states, and Bayeng urged the remaining members to complete their approval procedures as soon as possible.

On August 3, the US Senate approved the resolution of Finland and Sweden with the results of 95 votes and 1 vote opposition on August 3 local time. All Democratic members and most Republican members voted for votes.

Prior to this, on July 19, local time in the United States, the House of Representatives objected to the legislation that supported Finland and Sweden with 394 votes and 18 votes. All opposition votes came from the Republican Party.

If Finland and Sweden join NATO, NATO member states will increase to 32.
