According to CNN reported on August 5, late at night on August 4th, Eastern Time, at the Kanaviro Akumo Space Base in Karanavir, Florida, USA, the lunar rail detector "Danuri" independently developed by South Korea took the "Hunting Eagle 9 "Rockets launched. If everything goes well, South Korea will become the seventh country in the world to develop lunar exploration.
"Danuri" means "enjoying the moon". The rail detector is developed by the Korean Aviation Universe Research Institute and weighs 678 kg. It includes six valid loads and is made by South Korea. According to the plan, the detector will enter the moon track in December this year, and will be implemented for one year of detection tasks, including finding an effective landing point for future lunar exploration tasks to detect the moon environment. At the same time, South Korea will also test its own space Internet technology.
If all processes such as launch and orbit are successful, South Korea is expected to become the seventh country in the world and the fourth country in Asia with lunar probe, second only to China, Japan and India in Asia.

The launch of this rail detector accelerated the development process of the Korean space plan. In June this year, South Korea successfully launched a satellite with its domestic Nuri rocket. At the same time, South Korea also plans to launch a lunar probe by 2023.
Earlier, according to the Yonhap News Agency, the Danuri was originally scheduled to be launched on August 3 (August 2, Eastern Time, Eastern United States), but due to the abnormal detection of the rocket engine sensor, it was postponed for 2 days.
Jimu Journalists noticed that on June 21 this year, South Korea's first self -developed carrier rocket "World" was successfully launched in Luo Laosun Center, located in Holy County, Jeonan Road, South Korea. But before that, the "World" research and development process was very twisted. On the afternoon of October 21st last year, when the "World" was underway, the first -track launch of the "Three -Son -class engine was shut down 46 seconds in advance, and the 1.5 -ton simulation load was not sent to the scheduled track.
According to media analysis, because of the concerns of the "unreliable" of domestic rockets, South Korea has rented the "Falcon 9" Rockets of the American Space Exploration Technology Company from the beginning to launch the "Danuri".
