Multiple local fire forces rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and dispatched two helicopters. Fire officials said 90%of the fire has been controlled. The Sheriff Spencer Kannan in Utah County said that there is no evidence to show that Martin intentionally arson, but may be a "reckless and puzzling" decision. Police later searched in his backpack and found marijuana and drug use utensils. Martin was arrested for suspected "reckless fire", carrying marijuana and drug use tools.
