Peruvian Foreign Minister: Perury China is a valuable partner

July 28th is the National Day of the Republic of Peru. Each Peruvian celebrates this day with a sense of pride in national sovereignty and independence.

Before 201, Peru achieved independence and opened a long development path. Today, we still unswervingly work hard to promote the development of the country, overcome challenges, and benefit all the people of Peru.

In this long process, Peru was supported by strategic partners, including the People's Republic of China, which has a deep relationship with us. Both of us are the cradle of ancient civilizations, and are neighbors on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.

Secret China established diplomatic relations on November 2, 1971, but the connection between the people of the two countries had already existed long ago. Since the middle of the nineteenth century, immigrants from China have arrived in Peru and made important contributions to the development of Peru. At present, about 10%of the Peruvian population has Chinese blood.

Peru has established a comprehensive strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China. In March 2010, the Secret China Free Trade Agreement was officially implemented. At present, the two parties are actively promoting the upgrading of the free trade agreement. The two countries still build a "Belt and Road" partner. Peru will serve as the host of the informal meeting of the Asia -Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization in 2024, and is willing to maintain close communication with China to jointly promote the development of the mechanism.

China is the main trading partner of Peru, the largest export destination country in Peru, and the main source of imports of Peru. In addition, China is an important partner of Peru in many fields. Peru is also China's second largest investment destination in Latin America.

Peruvi China is a valuable partner, and the economic complementarity between the two countries is constantly exploring opportunities for cooperation in science, technology and innovation. Peru is confident in the development of Chinese scientific development and purchases the new coronal virus produced by the group from China Medicine Group. China is also the first country to provide vaccines to Peru.

In 2021, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Secret Council, coincided with the 200th anniversary of the Independence of Peru and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. China is an important role on the international stage, and it is also an advocate of global cooperation that developed countries in developing countries. I am willing to continue to deepen our interaction at all levels.

Peru's Independence Day is an ideal and inspiring day. Looking forward to the future, the Secrets China will continue to deepen cooperation in various fields and further consolidate the ancient and firm friendship between the two countries.
