Recently, the Institute of Management of the National Health and Health Commission announced the list of pilot units of clinical nutritional departments. The clinical nutrition department of the Cancer Hospital of Chongqing University was successfully selected.

In March 2022, the National Health and Health Commission issued the "Guide to the Construction and Management of Clinical Nutritions (Trial)", which put forward clear requirements for the scope, work tasks and responsibilities of clinical nutrition.

In order to implement the requirements of the guideline and promote the balanced development of clinical nutrition disciplines, the Institute of Management of the National Hospital of the National Health and Health Commission issued a document in April 2022 to carry out the selection of pilot units of clinical nutritional departments. After organizing experts, the application materials were reviewed, and in accordance with the principles of "fairness, justice, and public", they highlighted their focus and clarified 10 directions. In the end, 207 units including Chongqing University Cancer Hospital were piloted by the construction of clinical nutrition.

The department is the earliest tumor nutrition specialty in the western region of my country.
