Early diagnosis of calcification is facing great challenges, and more sensitive calcification detection methods are needed. Based on this prominent clinical problem, Professor Zhang Xiaoliang of the Institute of Naval Hospital of Southeast University's affiliated to the University of Southeast University recently conducted detailed research on micro -calcification testing methods. Studies have found that calcium-sensitive fluorescent dye FLUO-3AM can be used as a fast, sensitive and reliable skin micro-calcification and staining method. The preliminary results of the research have recently been published in Experimental Dermatology.
Fluo-3AM was previously used for detection of streaming cells and co-focusing microscope calcium signals. Professor Zhang Xiaoliang's research team first tried to apply FLUO-3AM to the detection of micro-calcification of skin vascular. After optimized experiments, research found that FLUO-3AM dyeing can clearly show the internal and inter-quality micro-calcification of the skin and vascular, especially for small sweat glands micro-calcification test also have high sensitivity and clarity, which will help early in the calcification defense early stage Diagnosis and reduction of missed diagnosis. Another advantage of FLUO-3 AM is the high contrast signal, and the fluorescent strength can be used for skin calcification quantitative comparison research.
