Uganda's outbreak of Ebola epidemic, Sudan poison, WHO has assisted in investigation

According to CNN, on September 20, local time, the World Health Organization (WHO) said that Uganda had a case of confirmation of Ebola. At present, Uganda has announced that the country's outbreak of Ebola epidemic has been announced.

The WHO African Office stated in a statement that Ebola's confirmed case of Uganda was a 24 -year -old man who lived in the country Mu Bensid District and had died after symptoms.

"At present, eight suspected cases are being treated in health institutions." Relevant staff of the African offices of the WHO said that they are assisting the Ugandan Health Bureau for investigation. The current survey results show that this is a rare Sudan Ebola virus strain discovered after 10 years after Uganda.

It is understood that Uganda has experienced four Ebola epidemic, the most fatal one occurred in 2000, and the epidemic died of more than 200 people. In the 2012 epidemic, a total of 24 cases were found in the country, and at least 17 people died. This death case is the first Ebola death case that has appeared in the country since 2019.

Relevant staff of the World Health Organization said they are working closely with the Ugandan Health Bureau to investigate the source of the epidemic.

According to reports, Uganda borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In the Ebola epidemic that recently outbreaks of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other places, the vaccination of circular vaccines against high -risk people is very effective for controlling the spread of Ebola virus, but this vaccine is only approved to prevent Ebolazyl poisoning. The strain has not been tested for Sudan strains.
