Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, September 11th (Reporter Lin Miao Miao) Tonsille is an important lymphatic organs in the human body. The lymphocytes and antibodies produced by them have played anti -bacterial and antiviral defense functions. Chinese scholars study that tonsil flora is similar to intestinal flora, and its micro -ecological disorders can lead to local immune activation and induce systemic immune response.
Recently, Li Zhan Guo's research group at the People's Hospital of Peking University and Wang Jun, a researcher at the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, demonstrated the role of the immune regulation of the tonsil flora. The paper was published in the international academic journal "Advanced Science".
Oral pharyngeal is the only way to diet and breathing, and tonsils are rich in microorganisms, including beneficial bacteria and pathogenic bacteria. When people are stimulated by the outside world, such as climate, environment, diet, etc., they can cause micro -ecological disorders of the tonsils, such as common bacteria and virus infections, which can cause local immune activation, and can even induce systemic immune response.
Earlier clinical studies have found that the symbiotic population of the body is closely related to the occurrence of autoimmune diseases. Among them, the intestinal flora has many reports of the mechanism of action in the incidence of rheumatoid arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, but the research on tonsil flora is very limited.
Li Zhan Guojun and Wang Jun's research group conducted research on patients with rheumatoid arthritis and normal people's tonsils. Obvious abnormalities: The beneficial bacteria in the tonsils are reduced, and the peripheral inflammation reactions cannot be controlled, causing infection or immune reactions. The data analysis of the macroscopic group shows that the generic richness of a kind of antibacterial peptide from saliva is significantly reduced.
Researchers believe that when tonsils are insufficient, immune reaction disorders can be triggered. Therefore, if sufficient tonsil antibacterial peptide is supplemented, it is possible to avoid the occurrence of immune response, which is expected to provide new paths for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
