The general doctor of traditional Chinese medicine provides a high degree of comprehensive services such as preventive health care, common diseases and multiple disease diagnosis and referrals, patient rehabilitation and chronic disease management, and health management. In recent years, Henan has continued to promote the transfer of generals in traditional Chinese medicine, helping to improve the service capabilities of the general department of traditional Chinese medicine in the province, and give full play to the role of traditional Chinese medicine in grassroots health services.

From 2008 to 2015, Henan Province had trained about 1,500 generals of Chinese medicine through the transfer of general practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine, and issued the "Qualification Certificate for Training for General Doctors of Chinese Medicine" for them. In 2020, Henan launched the training of general doctors of Chinese medicine again. It is planned to train 2,500 grass -roots training during the "14th Five -Year Plan" period.
