01. Why can clothing sunscreen?

Clothing plays an important role in preventing the human body from being damaged by ultraviolet rays. In fact, the clothing fabrics wearing daily wear have a certain anti -ultraviolet function. When the ultraviolet rays are irradiated to the surface of the clothing, reflection, scattering, absorption, and passing will occur, so that the damage of the human skin surface becomes smaller.

The anti -ultraviolet effect of the fabric has an important relationship with the fiber material, the tightness of the weaving structure, the thickness of the fabric, and the shades of color. For example, the anti -ultraviolet effect of cotton and silk in natural fibers is average. The hair is slightly better and the linen is the best. The polyester (also known as polyester fiber) in chemical fibers is the best. The thicker, the lower the perforation rate, the better the anti -ultraviolet effect.

However, the protection effect of daily clothing on ultraviolet rays is limited. In the outdoor scenario that is exposed in strong sunlight for a long time, we need sunscreen with high ultraviolet protection function.

Special sunscreen clothes can improve ultraviolet rays on the skin surface by improving the reflection, scattering or absorption capacity of ultraviolet rays.

02. How is sunscreen sunscreen?

Sun protection fabrics generally follow two principles:

1) The principle of shielding: enhance the reflection and scattering effects of the fabric on ultraviolet rays, such as making shield coatings in the fabric layer, or adding a shielding agent in the fiber of the fabric;

2) Absorption principle: enhance the absorption of the fabric on ultraviolet rays, and then transform the ultraviolet -rays to the heat energy release or harmless low energy radiation. For example, when fabric dyeing Organize the coating.

So, to what extent can sunscreen be called sunscreen?

According to the national standard GB/T 18830-2009 "Evaluation of Textiles and UV resistance", UV-proof textiles must reach UPF> 40, and UVA's transmission rate is <5%, which can be called UV products. UV protection coefficient (UPF) refers to the ratio of the average effect of ultraviolet radiation calculated during the skin without protection and the average effect of ultraviolet radiation calculated when the skin is protected by fabric protection. The larger the UPF value, the better the anti -ultraviolet performance of textiles. UVA is the longest part of UV mid -range wavelength. It has a strong penetrating power and can reach the skin of the skin directly to destroy the elastic fiber and collagen fiber. The smaller the UVA transmission rate, the better the anti -ultraviolet performance of textiles.

03. Is the expensive sunscreen jacket a IQ tax?

Fortunately, now everyone's general awareness of sun protection has increased, and many people will choose sunscreen. But how should the sunscreen jacket choose from dozens to thousands?

According to the national standard GB/T 18830-2009 "Evaluation of Textiles and UV resistance", UV-proof products should be clearly identified on the product. The content of the logo must include the following parts:

"—— The standard number, that is, GB/T 18830-2009;

—— When 40 50, it is marked as UPF50+;

——The long -term use and stretching or humidity, the protection provided by the product may be reduced. "

The sunscreen coat that meets national standards must have the above logo, which is also the most direct basis for consumers to buy sunscreen.

So, how expensive sunscreen is appropriate? In fact, the overall consideration of the cost of fabrics, design and craftsmanship, sunscreen clothes with more than 100 yuan and the above logo can be purchased with confidence. It is not recommended to buy too much sunscreen jacket. Some sunscreens are very high, and most of them contain factors such as brand premium and design style. In the case of meeting the national standard, the ultraviolet protection function of the skin is not much different.

However, we may also have a feeling, that is, I obviously bought a brand -name sunscreen, and it is a bit stuffy to wear it. Why is this? In fact, this is mainly determined by materials and crafts, and in fact, the designer has already made a lot of effort.

04. How can sunscreen take?

At present, the most common sunscreen fabrics on the market are polyester (also known as polyester fiber), followed by nylon, or fabrics made of polyester and nylon. Usually, a small amount of spandex can be added Comfort.

Polyester and nylon are the two most common chemical fibers. They have outstanding mechanical properties. The weaving fabric has high stretching strength and good abrasion resistance. It is widely used in the production of outdoor protective clothing. The polyester fabric's own ultraviolet anti -ultraviolet capacity is relatively outstanding; coupled with the various polyester anti -ultraviolet treatment techniques, the polyester is very mature, and the hygroscopic sweats are strong, making polyester the first choice for production of sunscreen. Nylon has strong hygroscopic sweats and has a large heat conduction coefficient. It can provide more obvious contact instant cooling and is also widely used in sunscreen. Sun protection jackets are usually tightly woven structures, because the closer the fabric structure, the less UV rays pass through. Generally speaking, the structure of the woven fabric is closer than the knitted fabrics. The tight fabric structure adds a lot of sunscreen clothes to improve the anti -ultraviolet performance after the fabric coating, which will reduce the breathability of the fabric. There are also many sunscreens using knitted fabrics, which are better than woven fabrics.

In addition, the sunscreen is also designed to increase the breathability through some technical treatment. For example, in the underarm and sleeves, the fabrics with mesh -eye structure are not subject to direct sunlight. The shawl format is added to the air layer between the sunscreen and the body. When the human body moves, it is conducive to the body heat dissipation and reduce the sense of sultry.

In addition, when choosing a sunscreen, it is recommended to choose the sunscreen of the cold color fabric as much as possible; when cleaning the sunlight, try to gently wash as much as possible to avoid rubbing the effect of the sunscreen sorting of the fabric, or cause the fabric structure to relax. If after a period of use, the sunscreen jacket has obvious light transmission and loose fabric structure, and it should be replaced.

Finally, I also want to remind everyone that the skin damage caused by ultraviolet rays is blackened, sun -exposed erythema, and sensitive skin light, mainly manifested as skin melanin, redness, swelling and pain, and even severe blisters, peeling, severe allergic reactions, etc. The skin that has been exposed to the sun for a long time will still have obvious aging phenomenon, which shows that elastic disappearance, the skin barrier function decreases. Because ultraviolet rays hurt the skin so much, we really cannot ignore sunscreen.
