The monitoring results showed that in 2021, the health literacy level of urban residents across the country was 30.70%, and rural residents were 22.02%, an increase of 2.62 and 2.00 percentage points from 2020. The health literacy levels of residents in the east, Central and Western regions were 30.40%, 23.83%, and 19.42%, respectively, an increase of 1.34, 2.82, and 2.70 percentage points from 2020. The basic knowledge and conceptual literacy level of urban and rural residents is 37.66%, the level of healthy lifestyle and behavioral literacy is 28.05%, and the basic skills level is 24.28%, an increase of 0.51, 1.61, and 1.16 percentage points from 2020. 6 Category of health problems The level of health problems from high to low is: 56.41%of safety and emergency literacy, scientific and healthy observation literacy 50.01%, health information literacy 35.93%, infectious disease prevention literacy 27.60%, chronic disease prevention and treatment literacy 26.67%and basic medical literacy 26.05 %; Among them, basic medical literacy, safety and first aid literacy and infectious disease prevention quality have been improved. The literacy of scientific and healthy observations, health information literacy and chronic diseases is basically the same as 2020.

The content of this monitoring is based on \"Chinese Citizen Health Quality-Basic Knowledge and Skills\", covering 1008 townships (streets) of 33 counties (districts) in 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) across the country, The object is the population of 15-69 years old, and a total of 66676 questionnaires are obtained.
