The 10th China Film Festival is held in Singapore

Xinhua News Agency, Singapore, September 16 (Reporter Cai Shuya) The 10th China Film Festival in Singapore was held at the National University of Singapore from 13th to 16th. The film festival shows a total of four Chinese films of "Changjin Lake", "Hello, Li Huanying", "Above the Cliff" and "My Father and My Father". Nearly 300 envoys in Singapore and nearly 300 guests from all countries attended the opening ceremony.

The film festival is co -sponsored by the Singapore -China Friendship Association, the Chinese Embassy in Singapore and the Singapore National University Alumni Association. The Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Sun Haiyan, Pan Guoju, President of the New Chinese Friendship Association, and Chen Yongcai, president of Singapore National University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Sun Haiyan said that the film, as a form of art that spans time and space, and penetrates ancient and modern, plays a bridge role in infiltrating the soul and communicating emotions. By watching Chinese movies, "Everyone will find that we are so kind, brave, tenacious, hardworking and love peace."

It is understood that the "Changjin Lake" shown at the opening ceremony was played by the new prescription. Sun Haiyan introduced to the audience that this is a historical film that reproduces the Korean War. The original intention of filming this film is to pay tribute to peace and pay tribute to the hero who sacrifice peace. History often reflects reality, which adds a new meaning of the era to our current watching this movie. It reminds us not to forget history, learn from history, and unite to maintain regional peace.

Pan Guoju said that he hoped that Singaporean audiences would better understand Chinese movies and China through the film festival.

Chen Yongcai said that in the past ten years, the Chinese Film Festival has allowed teachers and students of Singapore to learn more about Chinese culture and Chinese society, and the friendship between China and Singapore has continuously consolidated and strengthened.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Chinese Film Festival, the organizer also held the "Ten Lights and Lights -Special Exhibition of the Chinese Film Festival" to review the wonderful film of the tenth film festival.
