The famous noun writer Qiao Yu died in Beijing last night (19th) in Beijing.

Qiao Yu was born in Shandong in 1927 and was influenced by his father's literature as a child. In the spring of 1946, after the introduction of the Communist Underground workers, Qiao Yu secretly entered the northern university in the Jinji Luyu Border Area. He began to publish poems and novels in newspapers and periodicals. In 1949, Qiao Yu joined the Communist Party of China.

Qiao Yu was the dean of the Chinese Opera and Dance Theater, the chairman of the Chinese Music and Literature Society, the honorary chairman of the Chinese Social Music Research Association, a member of the 8th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and the 10th honorary member of the Chinese Literature and Arts Association. Honorary Dean of the Opera Research Institute.

Qiao Yu has created a number of classic works throughout his lifetime, "Let's Swash Patstels", "Missing", "Song of Peony", "Unforgettable Tonight" and "My Motherland" lyrics are his masterpieces, many of which are on CCTV Singing at the Spring Festival Gala sang and sung to this day. In June 2019, "Let's Swing up the Double Paddle" was selected as the "100th anniversary of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China".
