The company believes that the company legally enjoys various rights and interests related to Bruce Lee, and has registered nearly 60 trademarks related to Bruce Lee in China. "True Kung Fu" uses the portrait of Bruce Lee without authorization, which not only violates the personality dignity carried by Bruce Lee's portrait, but also violates the interests of property.

In 2019, the real kung fu restaurant was sued by Bruce Lee Enterprises and LLC (Li Bruce Lee Co., Ltd.) to Shanghai No. 2 Middle School. The company requires that "True Kung Fu" immediately stops using Bruce Lee's image and clarifies that it has nothing to do with Bruce Lee on the media layout for 90 consecutive days, and requests the court to order "True Kung Fu" Yuan.

The official Weibo of "True Kung Fu" responded at the time, "We were prosecuted after many years, and we were also very puzzled. The Zhengu series trademark was applied by the company and was authorized after the State Trademark Office. Whether our trademark infringement has been controversial many years ago, but our trademark has not been judged to infringe or revoke an administrative or judicial conclusion. "

Public information shows that "True Kung Fu" was founded in 1990. It adheres to the brand positioning of "nutrition or steaming". The only local brand in the top five.
