Why choose the research institute in the West? In Sun Jing's opinion, this is almost the result of "the time and place of people and people".

The Geochemical Institute has a key laboratory of the Geochemical State of the Environment. In Sun Jing's view, this is the best platform for the country to study the environment of the environment. Moreover, the special Karst landforms in the Southwest region have a great challenge to the research on the groundwater she mainly attacked, but some unique research can be conducted.

The visit of more than a month in July 2016 was very happy in Sun Jing's impression. At present, Sun Jing hosted a number of scientific research projects at home and abroad. With the formation and migration of native high arsenic and high -fluorine groundwater as the core, experiments and numerical simulation methods have been used to achieve a series of innovative results. Sun Jing explained that when he was a child, he wrote "My ideal" was determined to be a scientist. He did not expect that he really embarked on this road later. She believes that "interest is still a big part."

When recruiting students, Sun Jing also cares about whether they are really interested in scientific research. Her method is to post 10 of her own articles on the students who contacted her. If the student finds the paper by herself, and after reading it, the students will contact her before they will communicate further.

In the 8th year of the United States, Sun Jing followed his instructor Ben from Datmouth College to Columbia University. When Ben got married to the city hall to receive a certificate, Sun Jing was a witness, and his name still appeared on related documents. When the Ben family came to China, she also went to Hefei and lived in a hotel next to Sun Jing's house. Although I haven't met for a long time because of the epidemic, any problem Sun Jing will send an email to Ben to listen to the teacher's suggestion. "I hope my students will continue to work in scientific research after graduation, and we can always communicate and cooperate like friends."

Today, Sun Jing has grown from the only woman who is "used to raising" to a female PI who "can adapt to no matter which country is thrown".

Sun Jing said: "Ben tells me the most important thing to do scientific research is to raise scientific issues. He only gives the direction. As for how to answer this scientific question, I need to design it myself."

The instructor never criticized her, including the rejection of the article, and it was normal to learn from experience. This made Sun Jing less afraid of failure, and it was not easy to anxious.

In 2016, Sun Jing thanked the instructor's retention and came to the University of Western Australia and the Australian Federal Science and Technology Organization of the Federation of the Water and Water to learn numerical simulation technology. She said she wanted to learn something different.

Therefore, Sun Jing actively participated in and organized various female scientists activities. For example, as one of the executive chairman, he participated in the first Youth Female Scientist Forum of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, participated in the 2020 International Youth Female Scientist Forum.
