On July 3rd, Hefei University of Technology held a new era of foreign language disciplines and professional innovation construction and development of high -end forums. More than 20 well -known experts and scholars in more than 20 foreign language communities in the country and the clouds of teachers and students gathered together to discuss future development. Ji Yihong, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of the School, attended the opening ceremony of the forum and gave a welcome speech.
At the opening ceremony, Ji Yihong extended a warm welcome on behalf of the school's experts and scholars, and introduced the development process of Hefei University of Technology and the School of Foreign Languages, and the main achievements in the construction and development of foreign language disciplines in recent years. Hu Kaibao, dean of the Corghema Research Institute of Shanghai Foreign Studies University, made a speech as an expert representative. He pointed out that the construction of foreign language disciplines is in a critical period. At present, there is homogeneity in the training of foreign language talents, and the contradiction between the compoundness of social needs still exists. The development of disciplines is not only facing important opportunities and huge challenges. It is necessary to earnestly improve the positions, pay more attention to the impact of language culture on the strategic development of the country, and promote the smooth and orderly and high -quality development of foreign language disciplines.
There are three branch venues in high -end forums. Participating experts and scholars followed the current forefront of foreign language disciplines and development trends, and made a theme report in combination with their own research directions, covering the fields of foreign language discipline reform and development, foreign language talent training model exploration, foreign language curriculum teaching research and other fields. I have made a comprehensive and deep thinking and analysis with the professional construction, and the existing issues have been detailed to specific research, which has aroused heated discussion among participating scholars.
