Li Geng, a doctoral student of the 2017 School of Finance, Tsinghua University. What is the original intention? For me, my original intention is very simple: the mind of my heart, moving forward to the earth. Therefore, in the five years in the small courtyard, I once picked the lights to fight the problem to overcome the problems; I also doubted myself because of confusion and helplessness. Graduation is as soon as possible, looking back at the way, but fortunately, the original intention has not changed.

Based on national conditions, do academic research with Chinese characteristics

As a doctoral student, how to make "interesting and important" academic achievements is a problem that has always been lingering in my mind. The study of Wudaokou in Tsinghua University has provided us with solid theoretical knowledge and research methods, and more in -depth research topics need to be obtained in practice and grasp of national conditions.

After entering school in 2017, I joined the Sunshine Internet Finance Innovation Research Center for research. Because of this experience, I gradually became interested in fintech and eventually used it as the main direction of my academic research. During the second grade of the Ph.D., I applied to the instructor Liao Li for attending the group meeting, and became a member of the research team one year later, and began to carry out academic research independently. Teacher Liao encourages us to start from the real world to understand the laws and pain points of finance and pain points. At the same time, we are required to read a large number of cutting -edge literature to establish the position of ourselves in the academic territory, strive to fill gaps, promote innovation, and solve practical problems. Teacher Liao also instructed us to write a case report to investigate and visit the science and technology enterprise and fintech enterprises. At the same time, the enterprise team was invited to share it at the meeting. The academic training combined with the theory and practice allows us not to talk about the soldiers on paper, but to be able to look directly at objective reality and based on financial practice.

Teacher Wang Zheng's daily cultivation has also benefited me a lot. From the research direction of the subject to the ingenious concept of solving the problem, it is inseparable from the selfless help given by Teacher Wang. Under the guidance of Teacher Wang, I focus on studying charity donations. The development of my country's fintech has made donations of crowdfunding a formal form of charity donation, but it is available in data. At present, research on public donations and its influential factors is relatively scarce. Thanks to the scientific research opportunities provided by the research group, I cooperated with a well -known domestic donation crowdfunding platform to conduct online field experiments. The social information of the amount of friends donated and how social information in different forms affects public donations. Based on the more significant research results in the early stage, this topic was finally selected as a topic of my doctoral thesis.

Family finance and economic history are my interest in alternate research. During the epidemic at home in 2020, a paper on the influence on the traditional family education of the imperial examination system stimulated my thinking: Does the tradition of the imperial examination system also affect other economic and financial decisions of the family? After data analysis, I found that the families in the deep and deep regions of the imperial examination system, the current probability of participation and depth of the stock market is lower, and the possible mechanism behind it is the lack of the negative attitude and financial knowledge of financial education; The possibility of individual entrepreneurship may stem from increasing the level of dislikes for government work and risk. The above two studies have been encouraged and supported by Teacher Wang Zhengzhi and Teacher Li Bo. Related research results have been profoundly discussed by industry colleagues in important domestic academic conferences, and finally published in Economics of Transition and Institutional and the Journal of Economics. superior. In these academic training and research, I have strengthened my original intention -closely follow the practice of Chinese economy and finance, and based on Chinese national conditions and Chinese stories.

Always forever, find value in service and practice

During the doctoral study, I also participated in the social work of the college, looking for my own social value in service and dedication. In addition to serving as a living member in the class, I have also served as the vice chairman of the college student union, and led the team to successfully host the 544th Phase Doctoral Forum of Tsinghua University. In the summer of 2019, I came to Wuhan Donghu New Technology Development Zone Financial Office to carry out a six -week doctoral social practice, in -depth practical understanding of the national prevention and resolution of financial risks, and entering the grassroots thinking to implement the challenges facing this strategy. This social practice has given me a more intuitive understanding of local financial work in implementing the central government's decision -making deployment and making up for the insufficient traditional financial supervision, and also has a more intuitive understanding of the pain points and difficulties faced by domestic financial supervision. A deeper understanding provides valuable first -hand information and cognitive experience for his later scientific research and work.

After hard preparation, I have received a proposed admission notice from the state ministries and commissions and the Beijing Municipal Government, and finally chose the National Audit Office.

The reason for choosing civil servants is to hope that they can make full use of what they have learned, serve the society through the national platform, and realize their national conditions; The important role of a good audit in the national supervision system is escorted for the last mile of policy implementation.
