Teacher

There are 132 faculty members in the college. Among them, 31 professors (including Ren), 73 associated professors (including special), including 3 members of the National Talent Program, 2 selected by the National Young Talent Program, and 2 outstanding talents in the new century of the Ministry of Education. research level

The surveying and mapping geographic information team led by Professor Wu Xincai has developed a large GIS platform software "Mapgis" with independent intellectual property rights and won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress in three times. The software is applied to major national engineering projects such as the "Shenzhou" series of spacecraft, and is an outstanding representative of domestic software.

Geographical research team won the second prize of the National Natural Science Science and 1 first prize in Hubei Province Natural Sciences. In the past five years, the college teachers have published more than 1,000 papers in the first author's published papers in the journal of Science, PNAS, Nature Communications, Nature Geoscience, etc.
