This puts forward urgent needs for higher education systems including Chinese -foreign cooperative schools.
Since 2019, the Greater Bay Area cooperation has shown a strong development trend. As of June 2022, a total of 104 cooperative institutions and projects in China, Mainland, and Hong Kong and Macao cooperatives in Guangdong Province (excluding stop enrollment), of which newly approved the establishment and organized by China, the Mainland, and Hong Kong and Macao cooperative institutions and projects after 2019 will reach 33, accounting for 31.7%of the total, of which there are 9 cooperative institutions of China, foreign, Mainland, and Hong Kong and Macao in the undergraduate level, including 2 universities with legal person qualifications -Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) (raised) Essence As of now, the university of independent legal person qualifications approved by Guangdong Province has increased to 6 (including 1 settlement), accounting for more than half of these institutions in the country. There are 20 projects, 11 masters and above projects. It can be seen that the introduction of high -quality educational resources in the Greater Bay Area has increased significantly, and the completion of the cooperative institutions and projects and the economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area has greatly increased. The education system and cluster development are relatively lacking universities and majors. The original cooperation agencies and projects have also been upgraded. For example, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) achieved rapid development by extending the academic year limit of cooperation, increasing the level of running schools, and expanding the scale of running schools. It is very exciting that the cooperation between Macao universities and mainland universities has made new breakthroughs. In addition to the new cooperative school running projects, the cooperative institutions are also actively promoting and making significant progress.

Looking forward to the future, the Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay Area cooperation will open a new chapter from the following aspects.
First, serve the overall situation of national development and education. In the future, in terms of the development path selection of cooperative schools in the Greater Bay Area, we must pay more attention to the active layout, so that the cooperative schools integrate into the overall situation of national development and education.
Second, promote the construction of a modern vocational education system. It is necessary to explore the restrictions on the main body of the cooperative school and school running mode, give corresponding encouragement guidance policies or implement special management measures, give full play to regional characteristics and advantages, and try first. In the future, it is important to promote the in -depth development of schools in the Greater Bay Area to develop schools. For example, in the past, Hong Kong and Macao universities went to the Mainland to cooperate with the Mainland to run the "Regulations on the Chinese and Foreign Cooperation Schools of the People's Republic of China". This not only increases the risk of cooperation to run schools, but also is not conducive to the in -depth development of cooperation.
