Professor Taiwan: About two or three thousand peers working in mainland colleges and universities
Due to the small market for graduates of higher education in the island, many Taiwanese teachers have been working on the mainland in recent years. Taiwan teachers who work in mainland universities estimate that Taiwan teachers currently teaching in the mainland are about 2,000 or three thousand.
According to the Taiwan United News Network reported on the 28th, the "35 -year review and prospects for cross -strait exchanges" was held on the same place on the two sides of the strait on the same day. In the meantime, Yang Derui, a professor of Taiwan, who taught at Nanjing University Social College, said that he taught in Nanjing in 2005. At that time, there were very few Taiwanese teachers in the mainland. He himself was the first Taiwanese teacher at Nanjing University. After that, I gradually became more. He said that there are more than 1,000 Taiwanese teacher WeChat groups that are currently joined, and even more people have not yet joined. For the disciplines of Taiwanese teachers, he analyzed that there were relatively many science and engineering and medical sciences.
Another Taiwanese teacher in the Department of Commerce and English, Guangdong Zhaoqing College, said that the supply of doctoral teachers in Taiwan was insufficient. After 2015, he went to mainland universities to teach. In 2018, a large number of Taiwanese teachers went to work in mainland universities. To this day, there are about two or three thousand teachers in the mainland, and there are many provinces in the coastal provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Guangdong.
Associate Professor Wang Wenlong, who taught at the School of History of Nankai University, said that after Taiwanese teachers went to the mainland, the thresholds of age and scientific research were higher. For example, Taiwanese students are about 35 years old when they get a doctorate, and mainland students are usually less than 30 years old. In terms of scientific research requirements, mainland colleges and universities basically require teachers to apply for provincial and ministerial projects, and they also have requirements for the publication of papers.
Although cross -strait exchanges have been cooled in recent years under the influence of the new crown pneumonia epidemic and cross -strait relations, they still maintain some academic exchanges. The Taiwan Affairs Office said at a press conference on the 28th that there are about 12,000 Taiwanese students studying in mainland universities. According to data recently released by the Ministry of Education of the Mainland, in 2021, there were 38,200 students in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan in mainland China, and more and more Taiwanese students chose to study in the mainland.
Zhu Fenglian, a spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, mentioned the two new characteristics of this year's enrollment in Taiwan, namely the optimization and adjustment of the procedure and providing a new path for Taiwan students to go to land. First of all, the mainland adjusted the process of recruitment procedures with the "study test" results in Taiwan. For the first time, the unified recruitment platform was launched. The annual growth rate exceeds 20%. Secondly, the new path is the first time to enroll Taiwan with the "unified test" score this year. The pilot work first started in 13 high schools including 13 undergraduate universities such as Minnan Normal University and 6 vocational colleges including Fujian Information Vocational and Technical College.
