Language services are the bridge of Chinese and foreign cultural, science and technology economic and trade exchanges. It is an important support for participating in global governance and promoting civilized exchanges and mutual learning. The language service capabilities directly affect the effectiveness of going out and the effect of cultural communication. It is an important manifestation of the national soft power. Beijing Language University attaches great importance to serving national strategies, conscientiously implementing relevant spirit, and practically responsible responsibility and mission to serve the national strategy.

In recent years, the school has achieved fruitful results at the level of language service construction, mainly in the following aspects:

First, the construction of language resource libraries is leading in China, including a series of important resources such as "Sino -Arab Language Resource Collection" and "Chinese Dialect Big Database Library".

The second is the establishment of a universal language service talent training system. In 2021, Beijing Language University took the lead in setting up a second -level discipline in international language services in the country and successfully approved. We have set up professional directions such as business language services, cross -language management, localized management, and recruit and train master and doctoral students. At present, the first batch of international language services masterpieces have been admitted to school smoothly.

The third is to develop related application software and learning platforms. Entrusted by the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, a language resource set of the Winter Olympics term and facing the translation of the Winter Olympics machine. This was chaired by Professor Liu Heping and made the contribution of our linguist to the National event. At the same time, the "Winter Olympics Sports Project Noun" was also published as the heritage of the Winter Olympics to the world. The construction of international Chinese smart education projects was carried out, and the multi -translation parallel language library system and methods developed by R & D have obtained the patent of the country.

The fourth is to carry out language service research in many fields. The International Language Service Research Institute led by Professor Wang Lifei has been committed to language service research in recent years. A series of research reports such as the "Report on the Emergency Language of War". Published "Language Services Industry", "New Era Language Library", "Advanced Programming" and other monographs and textbooks. At the same time, a series of language service articles were published on core journals and authoritative media, and it has undertaken a number of national and provincial and ministerial scientific research projects such as major scientific research projects and the construction of the theoretical system of Chinese characteristics in the new era.

It is the achievement of these outstanding achievements that laid a solid foundation for our school's declaration of characteristic language service export bases. In March of this year, 7 departments including the Ministry of Commerce officially announced the first batch of national professional service export bases, and a total of 14 units were approved for language service export bases. Beijing Language University, as the only two university language service export bases, marked the new journey of our university at the level of serving the national strategy. The school attaches great importance to the construction of language service export bases, and has studied and introduced special construction plans, and provides key support in personnel, funds, venues, and equipment. Standing at a new starting point, the language service export base should seize new development opportunities. Take this opportunity. On behalf of the school, I also make three suggestions on the base construction:

First, I hope that the language service export base will focus on the construction of a new development pattern, enhance the multi -language service capabilities and scientific research level, and serve the coordinated development of the Beijing -Tianjin -Hebei, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the Guangdong -Hong Kong -Macao Greater Bay District Chief Triangle, Western Development, Northeast China Comprehensive revitalization and the rise of the central region. Take the opportunity of collective construction, to play the important role of language services in promoting cultural exchanges with scientific and technological cooperation and foreign economic and trade, and serve the construction of outstanding Chinese cultural communication.

Second, I hope the language service export base, persist in talent, and cultivate more outstanding Chinese and foreign language service talents; carry out long -term training, cultivate and reserve localized technology, international communication, business language services, emergency language services and other composite in the country's industry. Chinese and foreign talents, continuously improve the level of construction of language service disciplines; strengthen school -enterprise cooperation for language services, jointly build a comprehensive language service platform combined with industry -university -research combination; actively carry out research on language think tanks to provide high -level consulting services for government departments and enterprises Essence

Third, I hope the language service export base, adhere to innovation and leadership, and serve the overall development of high -quality development. During the base construction process, we must pay more attention to innovation in language service content and application technology, promote the integration of language services and new technologies, strengthen relevant research, actively participate in the China International Service Trade Fair, Language Service Export Forum, Competition, etc. Strengthen cooperation and exchanges with internationalization to improve the level of internationalization. Provide professional support for Chinese culture, products, services, technology and standards.

The success of the successful approval of the language service export base is also our challenge. The construction and development of the base also attracted the attention of peers at home and abroad. It is hoped that the language service export base will use this unveiling as a new starting point to inherit the excellent tradition of the Bei language "virtue words, harmonious world", strengthen top -level design, clarify target tasks, continue to promote innovation, promote base construction towards higher levels and higher quality And higher standards.
