Public information shows that at the end of 2021, the resident population of the province in Yunnan was 46.9 million, a decrease of 320,000 compared with the end of 2020. In 2021, the birth population was 440,000, with a birth rate of 9.35 ‰; the death population was 380,000, and the mortality rate was 8.12 ‰; the natural growth rate was 1.23 ‰. In 2019, Yunnan was born with a population of 612,000 throughout the year, with a natural growth rate of 6.43 ‰.
