Founded in 1948, Putian 8th Middle School was a provincial -level high school. After the reform of the new high school curriculum, the school capacity and hardware facilities could not keep up with the development requirements. Licheng District actively promoted the work of people's livelihood, supplemented the shortcomings of people's livelihood, launched the project construction of the Putian Bazhongxin Campus, promoted the balanced development of urban and rural education, and solved the problem of degree tensions.

The new campus builds six 6 -story teaching buildings, as well as experimental buildings, comprehensive buildings, gymnasiums, libraries, etc. The total construction area is 152,000 square meters, with a total investment of about 716 million yuan. This fall, the four teaching buildings took the lead. At this point, Putian 8th Middle School has opened a new model of school running for "one school, two districts". As a junior high school campus, the old campus can set up 60 classes to provide 3,000 degrees for local people. As a new campus in the high school, 96 new classrooms can arrange 60 classes and add 3,000 degrees.
