Students from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications won the first prize of the 8th National College Student Statistics Modeling Competition

On September 6, the final result of the finals of the National College Student Statistics Modeling Contest in 2022 (eighth) was officially released. Two second prizes and two third prizes, this is the largest number of awards in the school over the years.

It is understood that college student statistics modeling contests are one of the two major statistical discipline competitions in the country. They are jointly sponsored by the China Statistics Education Society, the Statistical Professional Teaching Guidance Committee of the Ministry of Education, and the National Applied Statistics Professional Degrees. Since the first holding of 2009, every two years, the theme of this competition is "the statistical measurement of building a new development pattern." The competition has an undergraduate group and a graduate group, and the undergraduate and graduate students have a separate team. Since the start of March, 28 regions and 514 colleges and universities across the country have participated in a total of 5760 teams.
