The national special education full -time teacher reaches 69,000

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the party and the government have attached great importance to special education and have made a series of major decision -making arrangements, which have made the construction of special education teachers as an important content. Amend the "Regulations on the Education of Disabled Persons", implement the three -phase special education improvement plan, formulate "Special Education Teachers (Trial)", "Special Education Professional Teachers Teacher Vocational Ability Standards (Trial)", and continuously expand the scale of special education teachers training scale , Increase the training of special education teachers, and improve the professional level of special education teachers. After years of development, in 2021, the full -time teachers of special education in my country reached 69,000, an increase of 25,300 from 2012, an increase of 57.9%.

Special education teachers are facing special children with defects in their bodies or minds. They are suffering from the hardships and bitterness that ordinary people are unimaginable. Their contribution and awareness have a great contrast. Beginning in 2010, the China Disabled Persons' Federation, the Ministry of Education and the Bank of Communications jointly established the "Bank of Communications Special Education Garden Award" to vigorously commend the excellent special education teachers in front lines and promote the social fashion of respecting teachers and religions. As of the end of 2020, a total of 1,799 excellent special teachers were commended, of which Yang Xiaoling, Ge Huaqin, Xiao Min, Zhou Meiqin and others were rated as "the model of national teaching and educating people."
