In the early 1980s, Democratic Promise took the lead in making a call for the establishment of Teacher's Day on the national political stage, making historic contributions to the recovery of Teacher's Day, which has also become a common memory of the Democratic Progressive people.

Two proposals: Promote the establishment of Teacher's Day

As early as 1932, my country had Teacher's Day, but at the time did not play a role in respecting teachers and re -teaching. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it is stipulated that the "May Day" Labor Day is also a Teacher's Day, but the two sections are mixed together without characteristics. It was not until the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China that teachers began to be respected by people. Of course, respect for teachers and religions did not form a social atmosphere.

The older generation of the Democratic Progressive people realized that in order to truly improve the social status of teachers and create a good atmosphere of respect for teachers and re -teaching, the Teacher's Day should be re -settled.

In 1981, at the fourth session of the Fifth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the 17 CPPCC members of the Democratic Progressive CPPCC jointly submitted the "Proposal to Determine the National Teachers' Festival and Event Content Cases". The proposal was compiled by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference to No. 170.

The proposal includes Ye Shengtao, chairman of the 7th Central Committee of the Democratic Progressive Progress, Lei Jieqiong, chairman of the seventh, eighth, and ninth Central Committee of the Democratic Promise, and Xu Boxin, Wu Yifang, Ge Zhicheng, Ye Zhishan, and Zeng Democratic Progressive Zhang Mingyang, Ke Ling, Fang Ming, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Central Committee. Fang Ming is the main sponsor and writer of the proposal.

With the care of the central leaders and the joint efforts of all parties, in the end, in January 1985, the Prime Minister of the State Council proposed a motion to establish a Teacher's Day at the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. The 10th is Teacher's Day.

September 10, 1985 was the first Teacher's Day in New China. It is also since 1985. The Central Committee of the Democratic Progressive Central Committee has held various forms of celebration every year in Teacher's Day to "celebrate" for people's teachers.

A law: escort teacher team

The introduction of the "Teacher Law of the People's Republic of China" also condenses the efforts of the Democratic Progressive organization and members.

In the 1980s, the teacher team was not very stable, and it became a potential crisis for the development of general education. In 1984, the National Education Trade Union, the Democratic Progressive and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference jointly carried out a survey that lasted more than a year. Legal rights and interests, so as to fundamentally stabilize the teacher team.

In February 1986, the National Education Trade Union, the Central Committee of the Democratic Progressive and China Taoxing Knowledge Research Association, Beijing Normal University Education Science Research Institute, and Beijing Education Science Research Institute jointly formed a team of teachers' laws to draft a group, and Fang Ming was the team leader.

At the fourth session of the sixth session of the National Committee of the CPPCC in March 1986, the 20 members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and the Democratic Progressive Group jointly proposed the "Teacher Law" case as soon as possible. The proposal stated that the establishment of a stable and qualified teacher team is a major event that is related to the construction of the Four Schools and the rise and fall of the country, involving millions of households and descendants.

In order to introduce the Teacher Law as soon as possible, at the first conference of the Seventh National Committee of the CPPCC in March 1988, Fang Ming and the then Vice Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Central Committee and the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Ge Zhicheng jointly made a conference on "Development of Teachers' Laws" to improve the status and treatment of teachers ".
